Information on payment
When is the deadline for the initial payment and the final payment?
After receiving your booking confirmation, 20% of the travel price is due as a deposit immediately, and the remaining payments are to be made no earlier than 20 days before the start of the journey. For last-minute bookings, the full travel price is to be paid immediately. When you complete your booking on our website, we will provide you with detailed information about when each payment is due. Additionally, you will receive payment reminders via email.
Is there customer money protection?
When booking with ASI Reisen, you are always booking a package tour. This means that all the money you pay to ASI Reisen is protected against insolvency by the applicable Package Travel Act (PRG). You can find all the advantages of booking a package tour in your booking confirmation, in the attached “Information Sheet for Package Tours,” which we are also happy to provide to you in advance. In the event of the tour operator’s insolvency, the European Travel Insurance Company AG, Kratochwjilestr. 4, 1220 Vienna, Tel. +43 1 317 25 00, Fax +43 1 319 93 67, acts as the administrator. All claims must be registered with the administrator within 8 weeks of the insolvency occurring, or they may be forfeited. The guarantor is Bank für Tirol und Vorarlberg AG, Stadtforum, 6020 Innsbruck (Bank Guarantee No. 19922 dated November 9, 2000).
What is the amount of the deposit for my trip?
Upon receiving your booking confirmation, 20% of the travel price is due as an immediate deposit.
How can I securely pay for my trip?
You can pay for your trip with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners), Klarna (instant bank transfer), invoice, or direct bank transfer to ASI Reisen.
How can I redeem my voucher?
ASI Reisen gift vouchers can be redeemed not only online but also at the travel agency of your choice. If you wish to redeem the voucher online on our website, enter the voucher number into the provided field during the booking process. The travel price will be automatically reduced by the value of the voucher.

When and how will I receive my travel documents?
You will receive your travel documents via email approximately 7 days before your arrival.
ASI Flex Rate
What does the ASI Flex Rate cost?
The price for the ASI Flex Rate will be displayed in our booking process. So, for every booking, you can choose between the regular price and the ASI Flex Rate. The amount of the ASI Flex Rate is calculated individually for each trip and presented as a total price.
What is the cost of a last-minute cancellation, less than 31 days before arrival?
If you want to cancel your trip at short notice – our cancellation policy applies from 30 days before arrival, in accordance with our terms and conditions, which you can find here.
What is the cost of a last-minute rescheduling, less than 31 days before arrival?
If you want to rebook your trip at short notice, the conditions in our terms and conditions apply from 30 days before arrival – you can find them here.
What are the advantages of the ASI Flex Rate when I want to cancel?
If you have booked the ASI Flex Rate, you can cancel your trip in writing at any time up to 31 days before arrival without stating any reasons. We will refund your travel price minus the ASI Flex portion.
What are the advantages of the ASI Flex Rate when I want to rebook?
Up to 31 days before arrival, you can rebook any trip organized by ASI (ASI own trip) to another ASI own trip that has already been published (price tolerance up to 10% of the original trip price). The processing fee (50€ per person) is waived if you have booked the ASI Flex Rate.
How can I book the ASI Flex Rate?
You will see the price for the ASI Flex Rate during our booking process. So, you can choose between the regular price and the ASI Flex Rate for every booking.
You can also book the ASI Flex Rate at your travel agency. You will find out the prices during your consultation there.
Booking Information
Can I extend my trip or customize it individually?
We offer pre-extension or additional nights. You can select these options in the booking form.
Can I bring my dog on an ASI trip?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring your dog on this tour.
Can I specify dietary preferences during booking?
You can note your dietary preferences during the booking, and we will forward your request to the accommodation. The extent to which the accommodation can accommodate specific dietary requests is beyond our control. We do not guarantee this, and it is not part of our package travel services. Please note that in remote regions or high-altitude huts, providing special dietary requests can be very challenging, and some requests may simply not be feasible.
What does 'binding request' mean?
Here, services such as pre- and post-extensions must be requested and confirmed directly with our hotels and other service providers. These requests will automatically become confirmed bookings once the individual travel services are confirmed. Binding requests can only be made in writing or through the online booking system.
How can I cancel the trip?
The cancellation must be made in writing. Cancellation is always subject to specific cancellation fees, which are staggered based on the time of cancellation. You can find all the information in our General Terms and Conditions (GTC) on our website or in the attachment to your booking confirmation.
Difficulty Level & Fitness
What does "freedom from vertigo" mean?
Freedom from vertigo means that you are not afraid of heights and are not particularly susceptible to vertigo. In exposed areas, you feel stable in your body posture. You will find indications in the travel description if a certain stage requires being free from fear of heights. We also offer a course where you can learn to cope with your fear of heights. You can find the trip “Fearless and sure-footed in the mountains” under the travel code ATINN123.
What levels of difficulty are there?
